A Little About Me!
Hello! My name is Susie Mbiro. My passion for birth work began with my own birthing journeys, when I experienced the power of surrender, self-awareness, tuning into my intuition, and compassionate support.
I am constantly in awe of the physical and mental strength of women - and the birth experience is a huge testimony to a woman’s divine force. I believe all birth is heroic and miraculous, and I am honored to support families as they bring forth the next generation. It is my joy to come alongside families to provide compassionate care, help guide them to creating their unique birth environment and comfort measures to support their desires and optimize a calm and connected experience. I desire mothers to always know their power, see their beauty, and honor the sacred path that led them to their babies. Crossing the threshold and bringing life into the world is a moment we never forget!
I am an apprentice trained homebirth Midwife certified in neonatal resuscitation and CPR/BLS; a certified birth doula through DONA International; and I have received additional education training through Lamaze International, Spinning Babies and Midwifery Wisdom. I am forever grateful to have been able to train under two of the most experienced and respected midwives in Georgia. During my apprenticeship I attended over 175 births and well over a thousand prenatal and postpartum appointments. I draw on my knowledge, experience, intuition and passion to provide the best support.
I am a mother to two girls and raise a flock of backyard chickens. I love the natural, holistic, and compassionate approach to health and wellness. I enjoy being a part of my local community and often participate in community runs, events and philanthropy opportunities.
I am an enneagram 9w1; and bring my comforting presence, positive encouragement and caring personality into my midwifery care.
